Oh la la lanvin

Attention fashionistas on a budget: H&M will be opening its first store in the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens tomorrow at noon. But if you’re a Miami local, you might want to put off the around two hour drive for a few more days because the talked-about Lanvin collection will be at the two-story flagship store (meaning it will carry the special lines designers create for H&M) on November 20th.

While in Orlando two weekends ago (see Expecto Patronum article) I just had to stop by the H&M store and picked up some large rings and chunky necklace for under $30. The fashion retailer is known for having trendy, well-made clothes for less, such as chic jackets for $29.95, comfy sweaters for $14.95 and sophisticated dresses for $19.95.

Just two days ago, H&M released its video preview of the Lanvin Heart H&M Collection. If you’re like me, the trip to Palm Beach will be well worth it to get your hands on an asymmetrical dark purple party dress that looks just like one in Lanvin’s ready-to-wear, except instead of costing $3000, it’ll be priced at $199.

If you’re looking for structure, yet femininity, mixed with bold colors, then get ready to fight it out at H&M for this limited collection.

Lanvin’s creative director, Alber Elbaz, will be following in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld, Jimmy Choo and Stella McCartney, who have also collaborated with the Swedish-based fashion company.

The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays, so get a couple of girlfriends to chip in for gas money and take a mini road trip to celebrate midterms being over before finals start!
